overview gravity offers a comprehensive multi location inventory management system, incorporating optional bin locations the file architecture is organized as follows inventory master this contains a single record for every item inventory location each item/location combination is represented by a dedicated record, which summarizes information such as the quantity on hand for each item/location pairing inventory site this serves as a reference point for every site utilized as an inventory location inventory bin (optional) this delineates the bins available at each location bin quantity (optional) this field is used to monitor the quantity on hand for each item/location/bin combination serial/lot in stock this denotes the serial or lot numbers and associated quantities (if applicable) for each item/location combination, specifically for inventory in the inventory master that is classified as serial or lot controlled country of origin (optional) this maintains a record for each country involved in the procurement of inventory the country of origin feature is solely available with serial or lot tracking inventory transactions this retains one record for each item/location transaction impacting inventory by utilizing the apply date on the records, inventory can be processed with appropriate aging dates note when importing inventory items, the following tables and fields must be synchronized inventory location quantity on hand this must reflect the total quantity of all items in the selected unit of measure for the item/location combinations bin quantity the aggregate of the quantity on hand values for all item/location records must correspond with the item location quantity on hand serial/lot in stock the total of the remaining quantity values for all item/location records must align with the item location quantity on hand inventory transactions the sum of the inventory quantity values for all item/location records must match the item location quantity on hand import templates
