Gravity Tips
This is a collection of tips and techniques to assist in your Gravity usage.
Gravity does not accept a value entered into a field until the cursor exits the field.
Use the tab key or click into another field.
In the example below, Inline Search is used to find a customer record. Entering "adv" in the search criteria will bring back records that start with "adv" Use the star "*" character as a wild card for searching. For example, using "*rent" will bring back records that have "rent" anywhere in their record.
When only one record matches the search string, it is automatically populated in the field.
If more than one record matches the search string an orange exclamation mark will be displayed next to the field. Selecting into the field displays a list of matching records.
To support faster data entry, a line item grid automatically displays matching entriesΒ in a drop-down list.
Selecting a field's magnifying glass icon opens a list box displaying the first ten records. At the end of the list box, selectΒ "Look Up More Records" or "new". Selecting βnewβ opens a form to create a new record. Selecting "Look Up More Records" opens a search box.
Selecting the abbreviated list icon on the menu to displays a list those items in the grid. You can navigate to other records by selecting a record on the list.
