Advanced Multi-Entity

With the introduction of Gravity V7, we have significantly improved the multi-entity capabilities of the Gravity platform. Users can now engage with all the entities they have permission to access simultaneously. Instead of selecting an entity from the menu, users will specify the entity for each individual transaction. This enhancement facilitates the entry of transactions into any entity seamlessly, eliminating the need to close forms or switch entities via the menu.

Enabling Advanced Multi-Entity

To enable Advanced Multi-Entity you will need to access the Entity Configuration for the Master Entity. Then set Use Advanced Multi-Entity to Yes. Close and repoen your browser.

Gravity Forms

In Gravity Forms, you have the capability to select the specific entity to which you would like to add a transaction. For instance, you can initiate a transaction for Entity 1 and save it. Without closing the form, select New, then select Entity 2 and enter an additional transaction. The entity on the menu will auto-fill the corresponding entity on the form, allowing you to work more efficiently within a single entity.

Gravity Views

Gravity views will display all qualifying transactions for all entities accessible to the user. By utilizing column filters, users can refine the displayed entities in the view.

Searching

Enabling Advanced Multi-Entity functionality will empower users to conduct searches for records across all accessible entities concurrently. This enhancement will optimize the process, removing the necessity to open and search each entity individually.

Posting Transactions

Users will have the capability to post individual transactions through a form, or alternatively, submit transactions for multiple entities simultaneously within a view. For instance, users can input transactions for three separate entities and subsequently post all entities from the view.
